Gen Arm 2Z is program founded as part Arm to focus on the younger generation. It gives a platform to the inspiring young trailblazers who are already hard at work defining tomorrow’s technology. As part of this initiative, 4 Gen Z ambassadors put their budding engineer brains together to develop a smart gardening system designed to tackle climate change and green space challenges by enabling people from all walks of life to cultivate their green thumb and grow their own food to perfection.

Inspired by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, PlantPal is an Android app and hardware component that revolutionizes future cities by bringing sustainability to your backyard. To kick start this project, I worked with a team to create the project brief, then designed the user journey, app branding, and UI/UX to bring the app to life.

The app and its accompanying in-soil device are just just a small element of a larger effort to reinvent our future cities and create a more sustainable world.
