CONCEPTING & IDEATION

Constructing an imaginarium of the world through a child’s eyes

If you were an American kid, tween, or teen of the aughts, you know Little Bites as the recess snack that all the cool kids had. This cool-kid brand had a reputation to maintain so that the children of now will look back at them fondly once reaching that ripe age of 30 ;). To preserve nostalgia status, we ensured these snacks remained top of mind for parent buyers by making them relevant beyond the purchase but also within the parenting experience.

One of the joys of parenting (or so I’m told) is being given the opportunity to view the world again through the eyes of your kids, so we envisaged just that. Our team audited their channel to determine how to take them from simple social flatly advertising into becoming an imaginarium of childlike play and wonder.

I led our team to work together through brainstorms, ideating concepts for each image as well as determining photo composition, lighting, propping, and more. I also collaborated with the client to help determine long-term goals for the content, test various approaches, and problem-solve each creative challenge. Through this process, our team combined the intentionality of close-up photography with the enhancements of design to place the product in whimsical and surreal contexts.
